Gregory Chambery, Founder

As a third-generation owner and administrator of The Maplewood for nearly three decades, Greg loves that every day is a new adventure. Greg ensures that The Maplewood tradition of quality and caring extends to every aspect of Maplewood HomeCare. He holds a degree in Business Administration and is a NYS Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Outside of the office, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He serves as President of the Rochester Christian School Foundation and Chair of the New York State Health Facilities Association.


Tammy L. Nichols

Chief Executive Officer/Director of Patient Services

Tammy L. Nichols, Executive Director of Patient Services

Tammy is responsible for the overall direction of the organization and the provision of high-quality client services that align with the agency’s mission, vision and The Maplewood Way.

Tammy has more than 30 years of experience as a nurse and organizational leader. Throughout her career, Tammy has received recognition for her commitment, perseverance, and team-oriented leadership skills in delivering high-quality patient care. The same characteristics drive Tammy as a provider of excellence in home care and staffing services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College.

Tammy’s life outside of work revolves around her family and friends. She applies her love of family to her work and says, “Every client is like family to me.”

Kristen L. Tompkins

Client and Personnel Intake Specialist

Kristen Tompkins, Personnel and Client Intake Specialist

Kristen has a 14-year relationship with Maplewood Nursing & Rehabilitation as Director of Social Services and as a consultant. Now as Maplewood Home Care’s Client and Personnel Intake Specialist, Kristen is responsible for receiving and processing employee and client referrals to our home care company. She holds her Master’s Degree and License in social work. This contributes to her responsibilities of nurturing the right fit between our clients and our caregivers, so that the unique needs of each client are met.

Kristen is excited for the opportunity to expand on The Maplewood Way and bring the same quality of service to in-home clients. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys and says her kids inspire her to try her best and have a positive outlook every day.

Sue Chambery

Intake Specialist, Licensed Practical Nurse

Sue Chambery, Intake Specialist and Training Coordinator

Sue has been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 26 years, during which time she worked at Maplewood Nursing & Rehabilitation. In her new role at Maplewood Home Care, Sue is responsible for receiving and processing referrals for prospective new employees and clients. With her many years of nursing experience, Sue brings her knowledge to the in-home setting at Maplewood Home Care. In doing so, Sue helps provide loving support to our clients and their loved ones.

Sue’s work motto is to never ask anyone to do something she isn’t willing to do herself, and she believes in teamwork no matter the role. During her free time Sue enjoys spending time with family and friends.
